On October 31st Panda Security announced that their cloud based antivirus product, Panda Cloud Antivirus Free Addition, received a 100% detection rating by AVComparatives.org.
Considered to be the most complete and rigorous test for antivirus software, AV-Comparatives’ Real-World Protection Test, evaluates how such products perform in real life. The test reproduces everyday user scenarios to see how successful each security product is at handling actual threats. In September of 2013 AVComparatives.org tested 20 antivirus vendors. Panda detected and removed 100% of the malware it came up against. Outperforming the other 19 products.
The latest version of Panda Cloud Antivirus, 2.3, is now available. Version 2.3 performs better than previous versions, has improved support for Windows 8.1, has anti-exploit capabilities to fight malware that exploits zero-day vulnerabilities in legitimate applications like Office, Adobe or Java to infect users.
